Eligibility Criteria for SSC JE 2025
To apply for SSC Junior Engineer 2025, candidates must satisfy the following eligibility conditions:
Nationality
A candidate must be:
- A citizen of India, or
- A subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or
- A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962, or
- A person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or East African countries.
Educational Qualification
- For JE (Civil/Electrical/Mechanical): Degree or Diploma in Engineering relevant to the post.
- Experience: Required for certain posts in BRO and MES (2 years post-diploma experience in the relevant field).

Age Limit
Maximum age: 30 years (for most departments)
CPWD & CWC: Up to 32 years
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwBD: 10–15 years
- Ex-Servicemen: As per government rules

SSC Junior Engineer 2025 Selection Process
The selection process for SSC Junior Engineer 2025 is done in three stages:
Stage 1: Paper-I (CBT)
- Objective-type online test
- Subjects: General Intelligence, General Awareness, General Engineering (as per discipline)
- Duration: 2 hours
- Total Marks: 200
Stage 2: Paper-II (CBT)
- Subject-specific (Civil/Electrical/Mechanical)
- Objective-type
- Duration: 2 hours
- Total Marks: 300
Stage 3: Document Verification
Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification by user departments.
Note: There is no interview in the SSC JE recruitment process.
