SSC CHSL Notification 2025 OUT: Apply Online for 3131 LDC, JSA & DEO Posts

SSC CHSL Notification 2025: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the notification for the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Examination 2025 on 23rd June 2025, announcing the recruitment for 3131 Group C posts including Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), and Data Entry Operator (DEO) across various Ministries and Government departments.

The detailed notification, along with the online application form, is scheduled to be published on 23rd June 2025, at the official SSC portal: ssc.gov.in. Interested candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can apply from 23rd June to 18th July 2025 (11:00 PM).

Educational Qualification (As on 01-08-2025):

• LDC/JSA & DEO (General): 12th pass from a recognized board or equivalent
• DEO (Specific Ministries): 12th pass in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject

Age Limit (As on 01-08-2025):

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 27 years

Candidates must be born between 02-08-1998 and 01-08-2007

Age relaxation applicable as per rules:

• SC/ST – 5 years
• OBC – 3 years
• PwBD – 10 to 15 years (depending on category)
• Others (ESM, Central Govt Employees, etc.) – As per norms

SSC CHSL 2025 Application Process

Candidates can apply online only through the new SSC website – ssc.gov.in. Those who haven’t completed One Time Registration (OTR) must register first.

Steps to Apply:

1. Visit ssc.gov.in
2. Register via “New User? Register Now”
3. Fill in personal and academic details
4. Upload photograph and signature as per guidelines
5. Choose preferred exam centres
6. Submit the application form
7. Pay the application fee (if applicable)
8. Take a printout of the application confirmation page

SSC CHSL 2025 Selection Process

The selection will be done in three stages:

1. Tier I – Computer-Based Exam (Objective Type)
2. Tier II – Objective and Skill-Based Test
3. Skill/Typing Test (qualifying in nature)

Tier I Exam Pattern:

• Total Questions: 100
• Total Marks: 200
• Negative Marking: 0.50 per wrong answer

Tier II Exam Includes:

• Mathematical Abilities, Reasoning, English, General Awareness, Computer Knowledge, followed by a Skill Test / Typing Test.

Exam Centres

Applicants must choose three preferred exam centres from the same region. No changes will be permitted later. The list of regions includes:

• Northern (Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand)
• Eastern (West Bengal, Odisha, etc.)

• Southern (Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, etc.)
• Western (Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa) and more

Final Result & Document Verification

After Tier II, shortlisted candidates will undergo document verification by the respective ministries. Candidates must ensure that they possess all original documents and certificates at the time of DV.
