SSC JE Vacancy 2025 Revised: What’s New?

The initial notification released in March 2025 advertised 1340 vacancies. However, the updated notice dated 5 August 2025 shows a substantial increase of 391 vacancies, taking the total count to 1731.

The SSC JE 2025 selection process comprises three stages:

Stage 1: Paper-I (Computer Based Test)

  • General Engineering (100 Q – 100 marks)
  • Duration: 2 hours
  • Negative Marking: 0.25 marks

Stage 2: Paper-II (Computer Based Test)

  • Subject-Specific: Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical
  • Marks: 300
  • Duration: 2 hours
  • Negative Marking: 1 mark per wrong answer

Stage 3: Document Verification

  • Conducted by user departments for shortlisted candidates.

Note: There is no interview in the SSC JE selection process.
