WBCSC Eligibility Criteria Recruitment 2024
Educational Qualification: A Master’s Degree in Library Science, Information Science or Documentation Science or an equivalent professional degree, with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade on a point scale wherever a grading system is followed)
Age Limit: The upper age limit is 40 years as of 1st January 2024. relaxable by 5 years for the candidates belonging to the categories of Schedule Castes/Scheduled Tribes, 3 years for Other Backward Class (OBC-A and OBC-B) (Non-creamy Layer) candidates, and 10 years for Differently abled candidates.
Salary Details: The Entry Pay at Academic Level-10 of Rs.57,700/-

WBCSC Recruitment 2024 for Selection Procedure
The eligible candidates will be called for an interview for selection. However, the Commission may, at its discretion, call for an interview of short-listed applicants.
How to Apply for WBCSC Recruitment 2024
Candidates should apply only online through www.wbcsconline.in.
Steps for submission of online application form.
i) Candidates must apply online only on the WBCSC website.
ii) Before applying online, the candidates must possess the scanned images below:
- Passport size photograph in JPG format of minimum 4kb to 40 kb. The dimensions of the photograph should be 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height).
- Signature in JPG format of a minimum of 4kb to 30 kb. The dimension of the signature should be 3.5 cm (width) x 1.5 cm (height).
iii) After filling in all the details for applying online, the candidates have to opt for payment of application fees by credit card/debit card/internet banking.
iv) Before applying Online, candidates are advised to go through a detailed notification available on the WBCSC website www.wbcsconline.in. Please note that Fees submitted through any other mode like Bank Challan, Money Order, Demand Draft, IPO, etc. will be summarily rejected.
v) To avoid last minute rush, the candidates are advised to apply early enough. WBCSC will not be responsible for network problems or any other problem of this nature in the submission of online applications during the last few days.

Application Fee and Mode of Payment: General candidates shall pay Fees of Rs.2000/- and SC / ST / OBC (A & B) / EWS / Differently-abled Candidates shall pay Fees of Rs.1000/- by credit card or debit card or internet banking. The additional processing charges will be as applicable. Fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
