The WBCAP UG Admission 2025 registration window is active from June 18, 2025 (2:00 PM) and will remain open until July 15, 2025. Candidates can apply through the official website – wbcap.in without paying any application fee.
What is WBCAP?
The West Bengal Centralised Admission Portal (WBCAP) is a single-window admission platform introduced by the West Bengal Higher Education Department. It is designed to streamline the UG admission process across 460 government and government-aided general degree colleges and universities in the state. The aim is to ensure transparency, reduce multiple admissions by a single student, and improve overall seat allotment efficiency.
Who Can Apply?
Any Indian student who has passed the 10+2 (or equivalent) examination from a recognized Board or Council within the country is eligible to apply. There is no application fee for registration under WBCAP 2025.
The following institutions and course categories are excluded from the centralised admission system:
- Presidency University
- Jadavpur University
- Autonomous Colleges
- Minority Educational Institutions
- Training and Law Colleges
- Colleges offering Fine Arts, Performing Arts, Crafts, Dance, Music
- Engineering, Medical, Nursing, and Pharmacy Colleges
- Self-financed/Private Colleges
