UPSC CAPF Assistant Commandant Exam Date 2025: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially announced the exam date for the Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination 2025, commonly known as UPSC CAPF AC 2025.
This competitive examination is conducted for recruitment to Group A posts in various paramilitary forces including the BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, and SSB.
UPSC CAPF Assistant Commandant Exam Date 2025 Declared
According to the official timetable released by the Commission, the CAPF Assistant Commandant written examination will be held on Sunday, August 3, 2025. The exam will consist of two papers, scheduled as follows:
Paper I: General Ability and Intelligence
Time: 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon
Type: Objective (Multiple Choice Questions)
Marks: 250
Paper II: General Studies, Essay, and Comprehension
Time: 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Type: Conventional (Descriptive)
Marks: 200
Candidates must appear for both papers on the same day. These papers assess a wide range of abilities, including logical reasoning, general knowledge, current affairs, essay writing, and comprehension skills.

UPSC CAPF Assistant Commandant Selection Process
The CAPF Assistant Commandant recruitment involves a four-stage selection process:
- Written Examination
(Objective + Descriptive) - Physical Standards and Efficiency Tests (PST/PET)
- Interview/Personality Test
- Medical Examination
Only those who qualify in the written test will be called for PST/PET and further stages.
