What Is the PM YASASVI Scholarship?
PM YASASVI stands for “PM Young Achievers Scholarship Award Scheme for Vibrant India”. It is launched by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment to help bright students from the OBC, EBC, and DNT communities continue their studies by offering financial assistance.
For 2025, the scholarship focuses mainly on OBC students in Class 9 and 11 who are enrolled in top-performing schools.

PM YASASVI Scholarship 2025 Who Can Apply?
To apply for the PM YASASVI Scholarship 2025, students must meet these eligibility conditions:
- Must be a student in Class 9 or Class 11.
- Must be studying in a Top Class School, which means the school should have a consistent 100% pass result in Class 10 and 12 board exams.
- Must belong to the OBC category with valid certificates.
- The total income of parents must be less than ₹2.5 lakh per year.
- 🇮🇳 Applicant must be an Indian citizen.
Girls, students with disabilities, and those from the most disadvantaged families are given special preference.

Scholarship Amount for PM YASASVI Scholarship 2025
The amount of scholarship depends on the class the student is studying in:
- Class 9 students will receive ₹75,000 per year.
- Class 11 students will receive ₹1,25,000 per year.
This amount will be transferred directly to the student’s Aadhaar-linked bank account through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode, ensuring fast and transparent payment.

PM YASASVI Scholarship 202 How to Apply?
The entire application process is online and quite simple. Follow these steps:
- Visit the National Scholarship Portal – scholarships.gov.in.
- Download the NSP OTR App from the Google Play Store.
- Do a Face Authentication using the app to generate your One Time Registration (OTR) number.
- Use this OTR number to complete the application form online.
- Submit the necessary details like Aadhaar, income, caste, and school details.
