Scheme of Examination for TNCES Recruitment 2024

Scheme of Examination: The exam scheme is outlined in G.O.(Ms) No.246, Higher Education (F2) department, dated 08.11.2022. Here’s how it works:

Written Examination Marks: The written exam is out of 200 marks, and the interview carries 15% weightage.

Paper-1: The first paper includes 50 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) from two sections:

Section-A: It has 25 questions each on Tamil Language and General Knowledge (especially on Current Affairs).

Section-B: Details about this section are provided in the mentioned G.O.

Paper-2: This paper also consists of two sections:

Section-A: It contains multiple-choice questions relevant to the subjects. All questions are compulsory.

Section-B: Descriptive questions reflecting all units with choices available.

Examination Details: Here’s a breakdown of the exam:

Duration: Paper-1 and Paper-2 both have a 3-hour duration.

Question Types: Paper-1 has both objective (MCQs) and descriptive questions. Paper-2 has only descriptive questions.

Marking Scheme: Each question in Paper-1 carries 1 mark, while Paper-2 has questions worth 10 marks each.
