The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced the lateral recruitment of four Liaison Officers on a full-time contract basis. This opportunity is open exclusively to retired officers from Public Sector Banks or RBI with prior experience in handling liaison or protocol duties.
The appointments will be made for an initial term of three years, extendable up to five years based on performance. Selected candidates will primarily be posted in Mumbai and will work closely with the Top Management of the Bank, coordinating with various departments and external agencies. Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following conditions as of July 1, 2025:
Nationality: Indian citizen or as per eligibility norms defined by the Government of India for candidates from Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet, or specified countries (with proper certification).
Age Limit: Between 50 to 63 years (born between July 1, 1962, and July 1, 1975).
Education: Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of liaison/protocol experience within the last 5 years before retirement.
- Should have retired from a Public Sector Bank or RBI.
- Not eligible for appointment on lien or secondment from a previous organization.

Desirable Skills for RBI Liaison Officer
- Strong interpersonal and networking abilities.
- Experience in coordination with government and non-government agencies, particularly in Mumbai.

Compensation and Benefits
Monthly Salary: ₹1,64,800 to ₹2,73,500 (subject to experience and qualifications)
