Part BAptitude and reasoning skills:

  • 15 questions worth 20 marks
  • No negative marking here

You’ll have 2 hours (120 minutes) to complete the test.

    Shortlisting for Interview

Candidates are shortlisted for the interview based on written test scores. The ratio for shortlisting is 1:5 (one post, five candidates), with a minimum of 10 candidates overall. Cutoffs:

If you do well, you’ll be shortlisted for the interview.

ISRO follows a 1:5 ratio, meaning for every available post, 5 candidates are shortlisted.

    Interview Process

The interview is the final and most important round.

In the interview, ISRO looks for:

    1. Your technical knowledge – 40 marks
    2. Awareness in your subject area – 20 marks
    3. Communication and presentation skills – 20 marks
    4. Your understanding/comprehension – 10 marks
    5. Academic achievements – 10 marks (based on CGPA, institute rank, and performance)

So, the interview is out of 100 marks.

    You must score:

    • 60% or more in interview (for general category)
    • 50% or more (for PwBD)

    Final Selection

ISRO combines your written test score (50%) and interview score (50%) to prepare the final selection list.

    For example:

    • If you scored 70 in written and 80 in interview:
      • Final score = (70×0.5) + (80×0.5) = 75 marks
