IIM Shillong Fellowship 2025: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Shillong, under the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Centre for Policy Research and Analysis, has announced a significant recruitment drive for 35 Fellows and 65 Assistant Fellows.
These positions are offered as part of the Mukhya Mantri Viksit Arunachal Fellowship Programme (MMVAFP) to support various government departments in Arunachal Pradesh.
IIM Shillong Fellowship 2025 Overview
The recruitment is designed to place selected candidates in various Departments, District Planning Units, and key offices such as the Chief Minister’s Office, Finance Department, and Planning & Investment Department of the Government of Arunachal Pradesh.

IIM Shillong Fellowship 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualification for Both Posts:
- Master’s Degree in any discipline
- Minimum 60% marks in both undergraduate and postgraduate levels from reputed institutions
Desirable:
- Preference will be given to candidates from IITs, IIMs, ISB, TISS
- Working knowledge in project management, ICT tools, government schemes, and MS Office
- Experience with project evaluation, policy analysis, and research writing
Experience Required:
- Fellows: Minimum 3 years in relevant field
- Assistant Fellows: Minimum 2 years in relevant field
Age Limit: Not more than 35 years as on 06 July 2025

Job Responsibilities
The Fellows and Assistant Fellows will be responsible for:
- Supporting senior government officials in policy formulation and planning
- Conducting field research and preparing policy papers, impact assessments, and evaluation reports
- Identifying bottlenecks in schemes and suggesting improvements
- Promoting technology-based project tracking and governance transformation
- Working closely with departments like Finance, Planning, and District Administrations
Salary and Duration
- Fellows: ₹70,000 per month (fixed honorarium)
- Assistant Fellows: ₹60,000 per month (fixed honorarium)
- Tenure: 12 months (minimum) up to 2 years (maximum), based on performance

Orientation & Training
Selected candidates will undergo a 5-day orientation program at Dr. Kalam Centre, IIM Shillong, to align with their field roles and expectations from the Government of Arunachal Pradesh.
