DRDO DRL Paid Internship 2025: The Defence Research Laboratory (DRL) has opened applications for its Paid Internship Programme 2025. Located in Tezpur, Assam, DRL is offering this internship to postgraduate students pursuing full-time master’s degrees in selected science disciplines.
As per Advertisement No. DRL/HRD/PDINTERN/2025/01, the internship will begin from 1st August 2025, and applications must be submitted within 10 days from the date of advertisement, making mid-July 2025 the tentative deadline.
Defence Research Laboratory Paid Internship 2025 Notification Out
This internship is specifically designed for students pursuing postgraduation (M.Sc. or equivalent) who are currently in the second year or third/fourth semester of their degree course. It provides selected students with exposure to defence-based scientific research in real-life situations unique to the North East region of India.

Eligibility Criteria Defence Research Laboratory internship 2025
To apply, the student must:
- Be pursuing a full-time Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Chemical Sciences, or Pharmaceutical Sciences from a recognized Indian University or Institute.
- Be in the second year or third/fourth semester of the course.
- Have a consistently good academic record with first division marks.
- Be below 28 years of age as on the 10th day from the date of advertisement.
- Age relaxation is available: 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates.

Candidates will be selected through an online interview, and the final selection will be purely merit-based. No further communication will be made for rejected applications. Selected candidates must produce all original documents at the time of joining..

Applications must include self-attested copies of academic mark sheets, degree certificates, age proof, Aadhaar card, photographs, and any other relevant documents. Incomplete applications or those received after the deadline will not be considered.
Stipend and Certification
The stipend is ₹5,000 per month, disbursed in two installments – ₹15,000 after 3 months and ₹15,000 after successful completion of the 6-month term. Students must complete at least three months to receive any payment. No lodging, transport, or other allowances will be provided.
A completion certificate will be awarded only after successful evaluation of the final project and submission of the report.
