APPSC Assistant Engineer Eligibility Criteria 2025
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized university. Final year/semester students can also apply, but they must produce proof of passing before the interview.

- AE (Civil): Civil / Agricultural Engineering
- AE (Electrical): Electrical Engineering
- AE (Mechanical): Mechanical Engineering
- AE (E&T/CSE): Electronics, Telecommunication, or Computer Engineering
Age Limit (One-Time Relaxation):
- General: Born on or after 01/01/1989
- APST: Born on or after 01/01/1984
- PwBD and Government employees: As per government norms
APPSC Assistant Engineer Selection Process 2025
The selection process for APPSC Assistant Engineer 2025 will consist of:
1. Recruitment Test (if number of applicants is high)
- Paper A (General Awareness & Reasoning) – 100 Marks
- Paper B (Technical Subject) – 200 Marks
2. Mains Examination
- General Paper (English, GS & Aptitude) – 150 Marks (Objective)
- Technical Paper I – 150 Marks (Descriptive)
- Technical Paper II – 150 Marks (Descriptive)
- Viva Voce – 50 Marks

APPSC AE Salary 2025
The selected candidates will be appointed at Pay Matrix Level-10 with a basic pay ranging from ₹56,100 to ₹1,77,500. In addition, allowances such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and other applicable benefits will be provided as per state government rules.
