Eligibility Criteria for Meghalaya PSC Recruitment 2025

Educational Qualifications:

  1. Scientific Officer (Chemistry Division)
    • M.Sc in Chemistry or Forensic Science with Chemistry as a major at degree level.
  2. Assistant Engineer – Group B
    • B.E/B. Tech (Civil), B.Sc Engg (Civil), B.Tech (Agri Engg with relevant subjects), or B.Tech in Water Resources Engg.
  3. Lower Division Assistant
    • Graduate in any stream from a recognized university.
  4. Draftsman Grade-II
    • ITI Certificate in Civil Draftsmanship.

Age Limit (As on 01.01.2025):

  • Minimum: 18 years
  • Maximum: 32 years
  • Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST and up to 10 or 15 years for PwBDs or Government servants, depending on the post.

Selection Process – Meghalaya PSC Recruitment 2025

The Meghalaya PSC Recruitment 2025 will follow a multi-stage selection process:

1. Screening Test (MCQ Pattern)

Each post has a separate exam pattern:

Scientific Officer:

  • General English (100 marks)
  • General Knowledge & Aptitude (100 marks)
  • Chemistry/Forensic Science (100 marks)

Assistant Engineer:

  • General English (100 marks)
  • General Knowledge (100 marks)
  • Engineering Subject (100 marks)

Lower Division Assistant:

  • General English (150 marks)
  • General Awareness & Aptitude (150 marks)

Draftsman Grade-II:

  • General English (50 marks)
  • General Knowledge (50 marks)
  • Civil Draftsmanship (200 marks)

2. Personal Interview

Shortlisted candidates will be called for a Personal Interview based on their performance in the Screening Test.
