How to Apply for UP Metro Rail Recruitment 2024
1. Apply Online: You can only apply for jobs through the website www.upmetrorail.com. Other methods won’t be accepted.
2. Have a Valid Email ID: Make sure you have a valid personal email address and keep it active during the recruitment process. If you don’t have one, create a new email ID before applying. Don’t share your email ID with anyone else.
3. Visit UPMRC’s Website: Go to www.upmetrorail.com and click on “Careers • Recruitment 2024”.
4. Read the Vacancy Notification: Thoroughly read the vacancy notification to understand the eligibility and age criteria.
5. Fill Out the Application Form: Fill in all the details like your age, personal information, and educational qualifications online.
6. Upload Documents: Upload scanned copies of your latest passport-sized color photo and signature. The size should be within 80 kb and in jpg format. Make sure your photograph has a white background. Candidates who upload a photograph in place of a signature, or vice versa, won’t be allowed in the exam center.
7. Computer Based Test (CBT): All posts will have a CBT conducted simultaneously. Candidates who have completed and submitted the form along with successful payment will provisionally be allowed to appear in the CBT based on the information provided in the application form. Eligibility will be scrutinized later. If any provided information is false, fake, misinterpreted, or incorrect, or if it doesn’t meet eligibility criteria, the candidature may be canceled, even after appearing in the examination.

Assistant Manager (Electrical, S&T, Operations)
Selection: Written Test followed by Document Verification & Medical Examination in Executive (Technical) category.
Assistant Manager (IT, Accounts, Architect, HR, PR, Company Secretary)
Selection: Written Test followed by Document Verification & Medical Examination in Executive (Non-Technical) category.
Jr. Engineers
Selection: Written Test followed by Document Verification & Medical Examination in Aye-One (A-1) category, not below Aye-Three (A-3) category.
Station Controller cum Train Operator
Selection: Written Test, Psycho Aptitude Test, Document Verification & Medical Examination in Aye-One (A-1) category.

Iris/Biometric Verification
Iris data of candidates will be captured during the written test/ CBT. Biometric will be captured if iris cannot be captured. Verification will be done at every stage of the recruitment process.

UPMRC reserves the right to introduce additional phases of written examination under compelling circumstances.
Medical Examination
Candidates must undergo a medical fitness test and meet the standards as per the Indian Railway Medical Manual. Specific standards apply for the Station Controller cum Train Operator position.

Written Test
Objective type Computer Based Test (CBT) will be conducted.
The paper will be bilingual (English and Hindi) and consist of multiple-choice questions.
There will be negative marking for wrong answers.
The duration of the paper will be 2 hours.
Objective Test: The test will be computer-based and can happen on one or more days. The questions will be in both English and Hindi. It’ll include multiple-choice questions to assess your knowledge of English, General Awareness, Logical Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, and your specific discipline.
Number of Questions: For categories E-01 to E-09 and NE-01 to NE-06, there will be a total of 140 questions, with each question carrying equal marks. For categories NE-07 to NE-08, there will be 100 questions, also with each question carrying equal marks.
Negative Marking: For every incorrect answer, one-third of a mark will be deducted.
Duration: The exam will last for 2 hours.
Mode of Examination: The examination will be conducted online through Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.
Examination Centers:
CBT will be held at various cities in Uttar Pradesh.
UPMRC reserves the right to cancel or add examination cities as per administrative feasibility.
