The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has reopened the One Time Registration (OTR) modification window for 2025, allowing candidates a fresh opportunity to update their existing details. SSC OTR 2025 is reopen in response to several requests from candidates who faced difficulties in updating key information such as category status and educational qualifications.
Why the SSC OTR 2025 Reopen?
SSC’s One Time Registration (OTR) system is a unified platform through which candidates can create a single profile for all SSC examinations—such as CGL, CHSL, MTS, GD, CPO, and more. Once registered, the same credentials can be used to apply for various exams without re-entering basic details.
As per the latest notice issued by SSC on June 17, 2025, candidates can now modify their existing OTR details from June 19 to June 30, 2025, offering much-needed relief to applicants seeking corrections.

SSC Clarifies Intent Behind the Reopen
According to the official notice [F. No. HQ – HQ-IT018/4/2024-IT (E-10517)] issued by the IT Section of SSC, the Commission has emphasized that the permission to modify OTR entries is strictly for genuine cases.
Any modification done without proper reason may be treated as suspicious activity and viewed as an attempt to mislead the Commission. Such actions could lead to adverse consequences for the candidate.
What Candidates Can Modify through SSC OTR 2025
Candidates are allowed to update details such as:
- Category status (OBC/EWS)
- Educational qualifications
- Other relevant personal information
However, all modifications must be made with honesty and proper justification.
Mandatory Aadhaar Linking
As part of the Aadhaar-enabled examination cycle initiated from June 2, 2025, candidates must ensure that their OTR is linked to their Aadhaar number. This revised policy is aimed at improving the authenticity of candidate data and reducing the chances of impersonation or duplicate entries during recruitment.

- Visit the Official SSC Website: Go to ssc.gov.in.
- Register or Login: Use your Registration ID and default password to log in.
- Enter Basic Details: Name, Parents’ Names, Class 10 Roll Number, Mobile No., Email ID, etc.
- Verify via OTP: Sent to your email and mobile number.
- Set Password & Complete Part-II Registration: Add nationality, category, identification mark, and address.
- Upload Documents:
- Photo: JPG/JPEG, 20–50 KB, 3.5 cm × 4.5 cm, recent (within 3 months)
- Signature: JPG/JPEG, 10–20 KB, in blue/black ink on white paper
- Preview and Submit: Review all data before final submission.
