Eligibility Criteria for OPSC Recruitment 2024

Education Qualification: –

Assistant Professor –

• (i) Candidate must have Passed a postgraduate degree in the concerned Super Speciality or any other equivalent degree or qualification prescribed by the MCl/NMC from time to time.
• (ii) Candidate must have Passed a DM/ M.Ch. is of two years duration or of a year recognized course after MBBS, one-year teaching and, or research experience in a recognized institution in the subject of specialist shall be required after obtaining the qualifying degree of D.M. or M.Ch.
• (iii) Those candidates who have undergone Diplomate National Board training in
  concerned subject is also eligible for the post of Assistant Professor subject to fulfilling any other criteria regarding Diplomate National Board, prescribed by MCl/NMC from time to time in force.

Age Limit – Candidates’ age limit should be a Minimum age of 21 years maximum age of 45 years.

Selection Process for OPSC Recruitment 2024

The selection of candidates for recruitment to the post of Assistant Professor in Super Speciality shall be made on the basis of a Written Test as per the guidelines as enumerated in Odisha Medical Education Service (Method of Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2021.

(i) written test – 200 marks
(ii) The total No. of questions shall be 200 and will be of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) pattern
(iii) Each question shall carry one mark.
(iv) There shall be negative markings for wrong answers. For each wrong answer, 0.25 marks shall be deducted from the marks awarded for correct answers.
(v) The qualifying marks in the written examination as decided by the Commission is 35%.
(vi) Examination – 3 hours
(vii) Syllabus — The syllabus for the posts of Assistant Professor (Super Speciality) shall be from Super Speciality subjects (MCl/ NMC approved DM/ M.Ch. syllabus for Super Speciality subjects).
