Eligibility Criteria for JNV Class 6 Admission 2026
Before applying for the NVS Class 6 Admission 2026, make sure your child fulfills the following conditions:
Age Limit
- Child must be born between 1st May 2014 and 31st July 2016 (both dates inclusive).
Educational Qualification
- Must be studying in Class 5 in the academic session 2025-26 in a recognized Government/Government-aided/NIOS/recognized private school in the same district where admission is sought.
Residential Criteria
- Must be a bonafide resident of the same district as the JNV.
- Must have completed Classes 3, 4, and 5 in the same district, either in rural or urban area schools as applicable.
Ineligible Candidates
- Children who have passed Class 5 before 2025-26 or have repeated Class 5 are not eligible.
- Repeat applicants from previous JNVST exams will be disqualified.
How to Apply for JNVST 2026 Class 6 Admission
The NVS Class 6 Admission 2026 application process is completely online and free:
- Visit the official website: navodaya.gov.in
- Click on “Class VI Admission 2026”.
- Register by filling in basic details and verifying with OTP.
- Upload the required documents:
- Student’s recent photograph (10–100 KB)
- Signature of student and parent
- Aadhaar Card or Residence Certificate
- Submit the application and download the acknowledgment.
