Trade Apprentice Preparation Strategy
Use the next few weeks to revise daily. Focus on your strong subjects first, then give time to the weaker ones. Practice using timed quizzes, revise formulas and trade tools, and take mock tests regularly.
Group A – Non-ITI
With limited time, focus on basic concepts from 10th standard Maharashtra Board books. Revise Science and Math chapters like electricity, motion, chemical reactions, algebra, and geometry. For English & GK, revise grammar basics (tenses, articles, vocabulary) and current affairs of the past 6 months.
Practice at least one mock test daily, and revise formulas and definitions quickly every night.
Group B1 – ITI Passed
Spend 60% of your time on Trade Theory and Engineering Drawing using your ITI books. Focus on key tools, diagrams, symbols, and trade-related laws/concepts. Allocate daily time for Workshop Cal & Science – cover basics of units, power, heat, formulas, etc.
For English & GK, keep it light – focus on simple grammar and daily current affairs. Try topic-wise mock quizzes for technical subjects.
Group B2 – ITI Passed
COPA candidates should focus heavily on basic programming, MS Office, internet concepts, and shortcut keys. Use NCVT syllabus or trade books. Others (like Welder, Plumber) should revise trade-specific topics such as welding techniques, safety tools, and blueprint reading. Prioritize mock tests for trade theory and skim English/GK daily.
Group C – Non-ITI
Focus on simple Science and Math chapters from the 8th standard, like motion, force, acids & bases, basic geometry, and arithmetic.
Use free videos or guides made for school-level competitive exams. For English, revise common words, sentence structure, and reading comprehension. GK can include famous personalities, days, and basic current events.
