For the position of Constables/Lady Constables in Kolkata Police, candidates will go through several stages of testing conducted by the West Bengal Police Recruitment Board:

A. Preliminary Written Test for KP Recruitment 2024:

• Ex-servicemen above 35 years old will have different, more relaxed standards:
• For Male Ex-servicemen: Running 800 meters (eight hundred meters) in 3 minutes and 30 seconds.
• For Female/Third Gender Ex-servicemen: Running 800 meters (eight hundred meters) in 4 minutes and 30 seconds.

For Males:

Examination Process for Kolkata Police 3734 Constable Lady Constable Recruitment 2024:-

Preliminary Written Test: If you want to be considered under a different category for the Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET), you need to submit a petition before the date of the Preliminary Written Test. No changes will be allowed if petitions are submitted after this date.

PMT & PET and Final Written Examination: Changes in category (except for Gorkha, Garhwali, Rajbanshi & Scheduled Tribe) won’t be accepted on the day of PMT & PET. However, requests for category changes for PMT relaxation can be made on the PMT & PET day. Petitions for changing categories before the Final Written Examination (FWE) will be considered for merit list preparation. But, changes requested after the FWE won’t affect shortlisting for the Interview.

Other Guidelines for Kolkata Police Candidates:-

Admit Card Issuance: Candidates will get their Admit Card for the Preliminary Written Test only if they meet the eligibility criteria and submit their application properly. Just receiving an SMS after submitting the Application Form doesn’t guarantee the Admit Card for the Preliminary Written Test or further stages.

Correct Gender: It’s important for candidates to fill in their gender correctly. If the gender is filled incorrectly, even if the Admit Card is issued, the candidature may be canceled.

Biometric Data: During the recruitment process, the candidate’s photograph and biometric data, including iris, may be taken at different stages. This data will be compared with earlier records.
