Jadavpur University M.P.Ed Admission 2025–26: Jadavpur University has announced the online application process for admission to the Master of Physical Education (M.P.Ed) course for the academic year 2025–26. This is a two-year, day, residential course approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Classes will begin at 6:00 a.m. and continue until evening with a mid-day break.

All students admitted to the course will be required to reside in the university hostel. Additional fees for educational tours, blazers, sports clothing, camp, and mess charges will be notified at the time of admission. These fees are non-refundable, except in cases covered under the Government of West Bengal’s refund policy, and no refund will be processed before the end of the 2025–26 academic session.
Eligibility Criteria for Jadavpur University M.P.Ed Course
Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
- Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed) or equivalent with at least 50% marks (45% for OBC-A/OBC-B and 40% for SC/ST/PD).
- B.Sc in Health and Physical Education with the same minimum percentage requirements.
Additional notes:
- Candidates appearing for their final B.P.Ed exams in 2025 (by 20 August 2025) can apply, provided they meet minimum marks in earlier semesters.
- Final B.P.Ed marksheets must be submitted by 15 September 2025.
- Candidates enrolled in any other regular day course are ineligible.
- All applicants must bring admit cards, two passport photos, and original mark sheets for verification on the day of the admission test.
- A recent fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner is mandatory for the test.
Reservation Rules
- SC/ST candidates from outside West Bengal must produce a domicile certificate showing at least 10 years’ residence in West Bengal.
- OBC-A/OBC-B candidates must produce OBC and/or NCL certificates as per government notifications. Out-of-state OBC candidates require a 10-year domicile certificate.
- Persons with Disabilities (PD): Only candidates with 40% or more disability are eligible.
