IMSc Scientific Officer (C) Electrical Eligibility Criteria 2025
Educational Qualification:
- 3 years Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
Experience:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Electrical Maintenance / installations work / electrical control panels etc.
Essential Skills:
- Supervision and maintenance of Electrical Systems and Sub-stations.
- Electrical support for Computing and IT Servers.
- Capability to manage the Institute’s Electrical requirements single-handedly.
- Working knowledge of computers, including AutoCAD and other office software.
Desirable Skills:
- Proficiency in erection, testing, and commissioning of Electrical & electronic equipment.
- Experience in handling UPS systems, solar plant erection, and Fire & Security Systems.
Age Limit:
- Maximum 40 years (relaxable in deserving cases).

Stage 1: Written Test
- Objective type test to be held at Chennai.
- Candidates will be shortlisted for Interview based on cut-off marks.
Stage 2: Interview
- Candidates who qualify the written test and complete document verification successfully will be called for the Interview.
- Marks obtained in the Interview alone will determine final selection.

- Written Test will be conducted first and will serve as a qualifying / screening examination.
