HP TET 2025 – Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the Himachal Pradesh Board Of School Education Recruitment 2025, you must meet the educational requirements depending on the post. Here’s a brief:
TGT (Arts/Medical/Non-Medical)
- Graduation/Post-Graduation with 50% + B.Ed or 4-year integrated programs
- Final-year students of B.Ed can also apply
TGT (Hindi/Sanskrit)
- Graduation/Post-Graduation with relevant subject + B.Ed
- 4-year integrated programs or special education degrees also accepted
JBT (Junior Basic Training)
- 10+2 with 50% + 2-year JBT/D.El.Ed
- Graduation with JBT is also valid
Punjabi/Urdu Language Teachers
- Graduation with subject as elective + B.Ed or equivalent
- Master’s degrees also accepted with teaching qualification
Special Educators
- For Pre-Primary to Class V: 10+2 or Graduation + D.Ed in Special Education
- For Classes VI to XII: Graduation + B.Ed in Special Education
(Valid RCI registration and 6-month training in cross-disability education required)
Relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ST/OBC/PHH candidates from Himachal Pradesh.
Exam Pattern
- Type: Objective (MCQ), 150 questions
- Duration: 2.5 hours (No negative marking)
- Qualifying Marks:
- General: 60% (90 marks)
- SC/ST/OBC/PHH: 55% (82 marks)
Each paper is divided into sections like Child Psychology, General Awareness, and Subject-specific questions.

- SC/ST/OBC/PHH: ₹700
- Late Fee: ₹600 extra
