Gujarat High Court Driver Recruitment 2025 – Post Details

The recruitment aims to fill 86 Driver vacancies across district courts under the jurisdiction of the Gujarat High Court. Selected candidates will be offered a pay scale as per the state government norms.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

  • Must have passed 12th standard (HSC) or equivalent from a recognized board.
  • Must possess a valid LMV and/or HMV driving license that is at least 3 years old.
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and driving rules is essential.
  • Preference will be given to those with experience in car mechanics and driving.

Age Limit:

  • Minimum Age: 23 years
  • Maximum Age: 33 years
  • Upper age relaxation applies to SC/ST/SEBC/EWS/Women/Ex-Servicemen as per Gujarat Government norms.
  • The maximum age after all relaxations should not exceed 45 years.

Physical Standards:

  • Male (General): Minimum height 162 cm
  • Male (ST): Minimum height 158 cm
  • Female (General): Minimum height 158 cm
  • Female (ST): Minimum height 155 cm
  • Good eyesight without night blindness or color blindness is required.

Experience:

  • 5 years of driving experience (government/private sector) is preferred.

Selection Process

The selection process will include the following stages:

Test includes: Starting, Forward Driving, Turning, Overtaking, Reversing, Parking, Safety, and Maintenance Knowledge.

Objective Written Examination (Computer-Based Test – CBT):

  • Total Marks: 50
  • Duration: 45 minutes
  • Language: Gujarati
  • Negative Marking: 0.33 for each wrong answer

  • Basic Mathematics
  • Basic Vehicle Knowledge & Traffic Rules

Driving/Skill Test:

  • Total Marks: 100
  • Must score minimum 80 marks (Grade A) to qualify.
