CBSE Vacancy 2025
There is only one vacancy for the post of Joint Secretary in the Administrative Cadre. The selection will be made on a deputation basis from eligible serving officers.
Eligibility Criteria for CBSE Recruitment 2025
Candidates must fulfil the following requirements:
Educational and Service Qualification: Officers from the Central Government, State Governments, UT Administrations, Autonomous/Statutory Organizations, or Educational Institutions under Central/State Government:
- Holding an analogous post, OR
- At least 5 years regular service in Level-12 of the 7th CPC (PB-3 ₹15,600–39,100 + Grade Pay ₹7,600), OR
- At least 10 years regular service in Level-11 of the 7th CPC (PB-3 ₹15,600–39,100 + Grade Pay ₹6,600)
Experience: Candidates should have experience in any of the following areas:
- Conducting public examinations
- Examination policy planning
- School board operations
- General administration
- Legal, accounts, court, or vigilance matters
Age Limit: The maximum age limit for applying is 56 years as of the closing date of application.
CBSE Pay Scale
The selected candidate will receive a salary in Level-13 of the 7th CPC, equivalent to PB-4 ₹37,400–67,000 with Grade Pay ₹8,700 as per 6th CPC.
CBSE Joint Secretary Selection Process
The selection will be done through a shortlisting and interview process. Shortlisted candidates will be informed about the interview mode (online/offline) by CBSE. The decision of the Board regarding eligibility, shortlisting, and selection will be final.
