The Bombay High Court has released the official notification for the recruitment of Stenographer [Lower Grade] at its Aurangabad Bench. Bombay High Court Stenographer Notification 2025 Out

The Bombay High Court, Aurangabad Bench, has opened the online registration process for the post of Stenographer [Lower Grade]. Candidates selected will be placed in Pay Matrix S-18: ₹49,100 – ₹1,55,800 plus allowances, as per Maharashtra Government rules.

The recruitment will follow a rigorous three-stage selection process consisting of Shorthand, Typing, and Viva-voce tests.

Bombay High Court Stenographer 2025 Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the Bombay High Court Stenographer [Lower Grade] post, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Educational Qualification

  • Graduation from a recognized university (Law degree preferred).
  • Stenography certificate with speed of 80 w.p.m. in English shorthand and 40 w.p.m. in typing.
  • Computer proficiency certificate in MS Office/Word/Open Office from recognized institutions such as MS-CIT, NIIT, APTECH, DOEACC, etc.

Bombay High Court Stenographer Selection Process 2025

The selection process for the Bombay High Court Stenographer consists of three stages:

Part I: Shorthand Test

  • Two passages of 400 words in total
  • Duration: 5 min dictation + 25 min transcription
  • Max Marks: 40 (Minimum: 20)

Part II: Typing Test

  • Typing passage of 400 words
  • Duration: 10 minutes
  • Max Marks: 40 (Minimum: 20)

Part III: Viva-Voce

  • Max Marks: 20

Only candidates who qualify in the Shorthand test will be called for the Typing test, and those who clear the Typing test will appear for the Viva-voce.
