Balmer Lawrie Supervisory Trainee Vacancies
A total of 32 Supervisory Trainee posts are available in various disciplines and locations:
- Mechanical: 9 posts
- Chemical/Petrochemical: 12 posts
- Electrical: 4 posts
- Electronics/Electrical: 2 posts
- Paint/Surface Coating/Printing Technology: 3 posts
- Leather Technology: 2 posts

Educational Qualification:
- Full-time regular Diploma in relevant engineering disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Electronics, Paint/Coating, Leather Tech).
- Minimum 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates).
- Final semester students can apply provisionally but must submit final marks within 6 months of the last date of application.
Age Limit (as on 22.07.2025):
Maximum 25 years
Age relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC (NCL): 3 years
- PwBD: 10 to 15 years based on category
- Ex-Servicemen: As per Government rules
Balmer Lawrie Supervisory Trainee Salary and Stipend
Selected candidates will undergo 1-year hands-on, on-job training with the following monthly emoluments (based on city category):
- X City (Taloja, Kolkata, Manali): ₹26,000/month
- Y City: ₹24,500/month
- Z City (Silvassa): ₹23,000/month
- ₹40/day lunch allowance
- 20 days earned leave and 10 days sick leave annually
- Covered under Group Medical & Personal Accident Insurance
Post-training absorption: On successful training, candidates will be absorbed as Junior Officers (O1 level) in the pay scale of ₹21,750 – ₹65,000.
Balmer Lawrie Supervisory Trainee Selection Process
- Written Examination: Objective-type, 1.5 hours (pen & paper based)
- Merit List: Based on written exam scores, subject to reservation rules
- Medical Fitness Test: Mandatory before appointment
