The Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) has officially released the notification for the Online Screening Test (OST) 2025, to recruit teachers (PRT, TGT, and PGT) in Army Public Schools (APS) across India.
Candidates interested in teaching positions in APS must register and appear for the OST scheduled for 20th and 21st September 2025, with 22nd and 23rd September reserved as buffer dates.
AWES OST 2025 Notification
The Online Screening Test (OST) for September 2025 will be conducted to assess the eligibility of teachers in various subjects under PRT, TGT, and PGT categories. The exam will be conducted online across multiple cities in India and the scorecard will remain valid for life. OST-qualified candidates will be given preference during interviews and selection in respective Army Public Schools.

OST 2025 Exam Pattern
- Mode: Computer-Based Test (CBT)
- Duration: 3 Hours
- Type: MCQs
- Total Questions: 200
- Marking Scheme: +1 mark per correct answer, -0.25 for wrong answer
Separate papers will be conducted for each category (PRT, TGT, PGT). Difficulty level varies according to the applied post.

- PRT: General Awareness, Pedagogy, NCERT-based questions from Classes I-V & VI-X (Science, Maths, English, Hindi, SST)
- TGT: Subject-specific NCERT-based knowledge (VI-X), pedagogy, child psychology, education policies
- PGT: Deep subject knowledge based on NCERT and Graduation/Post-Graduation levels

Exam Centres
The exam will be held across 40+ cities, including Delhi, Lucknow, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, and more. Candidates can select up to 3 preferences for the exam city.

AWES OST 2025 Scorecard
- The scorecard will be valid for life.
- Available for download till 31 March 2026 from the AWES portal.
- Duplicate scorecards can be requested after that date with ₹250 administrative fee.
