AIIMS NORCET Stage I: Prelims Exam Pattern 2025

Candidates appearing for Stage I of the AIIMS NORCET examination 2025 should be aware of the exam format. The preliminary stage is qualifying in nature.

The Prelims stage serves as a screening test.

The duration of the Prelims exam is 90 minutes.

The question paper includes 100 MCQs of 100 marks, with:

  • 20 questions from General Knowledge & Aptitude
  • 80 questions based on the syllabus of Nursing courses at the essential qualification level

The exam is conducted in five sections, each section having 20 questions and 18 minutes to complete.

Sections are sequentially activated and cannot be revisited after the time is over.

Negative marking of 1/3 mark is applicable for each wrong answer.

Qualifying Percentiles:

  • UR/EWS – 50 percentile
  • OBC – 45 percentile
  • SC/ST – 40 percentile
  • PWBD – Relaxation of additional 5 percentile in all categories (UR/EWS-PWBD: 45 percentile, OBC-PWBD: 40 percentile, SC/ST-PWBD: 35 percentile)

AIIMS NORCET Stage II: Mains Exam Pattern 2025

Candidates who qualify Prelims are shortlisted for Mains, which is the final merit-deciding stage.

The Mains stage evaluates the nursing skill competencies.

The duration of the Mains exam is 180 minutes.

The question paper includes 160 MCQs of 160 marks, focused on:

  • Entire syllabus of Nursing courses at the essential qualification level
  • Case scenario-based questions

The exam is divided into four sections of 45 minutes each, each having 40 questions.

Only one section is accessible at a time, and once the time is over, it cannot be revisited.

Negative marking of 1/3 mark is applicable for each wrong answer.

Qualifying Marks:

  • UR/EWS – 50%
  • OBC – 45%
  • SC/ST – 40%
