Eligibility Criteria for ADA Stenographer and Drive Recruitment 2024
Education Qualification: –
Stenographer –
- (a) Candidate must have Passed a least a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/ Science/ Commerce/ Business Administration/ Business Management from a recognized university.
- (b) Certificate of passing at least in Junior English Shorthand and Junior English Typewriting exams conducted by any government-recognized Board of Education/ institution or equivalent.
Desirable – A Certificate course in Computer skills like MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, E-Mail, Internet, etc. for routine office work
Experience: Minimum 3 years post qualification experience as a Stenographer/Secretary in a reputed organization
Driver I –
- Candidate must have Passed an 8th Standard from a Government School WITH Possession of a valid Light and Heavy vehicle driving license issued by the Government of Karnataka or any other State/ Central Government.
Experience: Minimum 5 years experience in a reputed organization WITH knowledge of motor mechanism

Age Limit
Candidates’ upper age limit should be 30 years according to their posts.

Selection Process for ADA Recruitment 2024
For Stenographer Posts:
(i) English Typewriting (on Computer Keyboard) Skill Test & English Shorthand and
(ii) Written test consisting of objective type questions covering General English, General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability, General Knowledge/ Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, Numerical Aptitude Arithmetic, etc.
For Driver Posts:
(i) Trade Test (Practical Test of Driving)
(ii) Written Test Assesses the candidate’s knowledge of traffic laws, road safety, general vehicle systems, first aid, etc.
Skill / Trade Test Norms –
(a) For the post of ‘Stenographer’
(i) English Typewriting on a computer keyboard @ 40 w.p.m corresponds to 12000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word.
(ii) Dictation in English: 10 minutes @ 80 w.p.m &
(iii) Transcription: 50 minutes (on computer)
(b) For the post of ‘Driver-I’
Trade test includes knowledge of driving light and heavy vehicles and vehicle repair and service if any. Operation and maintenance of light and heavy vehicles for transportation of goods and personnel. The trade/ skill test will be evaluated on a 100-point scale with a minimum of 60% for qualifying.
