Eligibility Criteria for Zoological Survey of India Recruitment 2025

Senior Research Fellow (SRF):
- Educational Qualification: M.Sc. in Zoology/Botany/Microbiology/Bioinformatics/Environmental Science or equivalent life science field with two years of research experience and one published SCI article, OR submitted Ph.D. thesis in the above domains.
- Age Limit: Maximum 32 years as of May 30, 2025 (5 years relaxation for SC/ST/OBC as per GoI norms).
Junior Research Fellow (JRF):
- Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Botany/Zoology/Biotech/Bioinformatics/Environmental Science with at least 60% marks from a recognized university.
- Desirable: Fieldwork experience in the Indian Himalayan Region, DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, geospatial data analysis using ArcGIS/QGIS, microbial and peatland studies.
- Age Limit: Maximum 28 years as of May 30, 2025 (relaxable for reserved categories).
