Note: The remuneration is honorarium-based, payable per day/class/session as decided by the Selection Committee, subject to the maximum ceiling mentioned. This can be modified by the competent authority.
VNIT Adjunct Faculty Duties & Responsibilities
Selected Adjunct Faculty will be entrusted with the following key duties:
- Teach Core/Elective courses in UG & PG programs to add practical value to theory.
- Assist in setting examination papers and evaluating student performance.
- Supervise student projects and co-supervise research scholars.
- Act as a Joint Investigator in sponsored R&D/consultancy projects.
- Help in developing IP, overcoming technological barriers, and enhancing industry-institute collaboration.
- Support institute development activities like sponsored programs, CSR funding, scholarships, etc.
- Participate in departmental committees, student advising, networking, and providing internship/job opportunities.
Facilities and Financial Support
- Facilities Provided: Faculty room and other necessary facilities (subject to availability).
- Travel & Stay: Maximum 6 return travel assists per academic year (subject to requirement and Director’s approval). Free lodging & boarding will be provided in the Institute Guest House. No permanent accommodation will be allotted.
- Conference Support: Not eligible for institute financial support to attend conferences. However, funds from their R&D projects at VNIT can be utilized for this purpose.
