TGTET Exam Date 2026 Out

As per the official schedule, the TGTET 2026 examination window is from 3rd January 2026 to 31st January 2026. The exams will be held in two sessions per day. The detailed paper-wise schedule will be notified later.

TG TET 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must ensure they meet the following minimum educational qualifications to be eligible for TGTET 2026.

Eligibility for Paper-I (For Classes I to V)

  • Intermediate/Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/BC/Differently Abled). AND pass in a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.)/4-year B.El.Ed./2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
  • OR, Intermediate with 45% marks (40% for SC/ST/BC/Differently Abled) with D.El.Ed. (for those who passed/admitted to the course before 23-12-2015).

Eligibility for Paper-II (For Classes VI to VIII)

  • B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/BC/Differently Abled). AND pass in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)/B.Ed. (Special Education).
  • OR, 4-year B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed. with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories).
  • OR, Specific qualifications for Language Teachers (Graduation with language as optional/PG in language with Language Pandit Training/B.Ed. in that language).
  • OR, B.E./B.Tech. with 50% marks (45% for reserved categories) and a B.Ed. degree.

Steps to Apply Online for TG TET Exam 2026

  1. Download Information Bulletin: Visit the official website and download the Information Bulletin to check your eligibility.
  2. Fee Payment: Pay the examination fee online (via the provided payment gateway) to receive a ‘Journal Number’.
  3. Fill Application: Use the Journal Number to access and fill out the online application form.
  4. Upload Documents: Upload a scanned photograph (500 KB) and signature (100 KB) in the required format.
  5. Review and Submit: Carefully preview all details before final submission. Once submitted, the form cannot be edited.
  6. Print Confirmation: Take a printout of the submitted application form for future reference.
