The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) has released the Centralised Employment Notification (CEN) No. 02/2025 for the recruitment of Technicians. A total of 6238 vacancies have been announced for Technician Grade I Signal and Technician Grade III positions across various RRBs in India. The RRB Technician 2025 online application process will begin on 28th June 2025 and continue till 7th August 2025 (11:59 PM). Interested candidates are advised to apply well before the deadline to avoid a last-minute rush.
RRB Technician Recruitment 2025 Date extended
The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have extended the last date to apply for the 6238 Technician posts under CEN No. 02/2025. As per Corrigendum-1 dated July 27, 2025, the new closing date for online application submission is August 7, 2025 (11:59 PM). The deadline for paying the application fee has also been extended to August 9, 2025.
The correction window for application modifications will now be open from August 10 to August 19, 2025, and candidates eligible to register scribe details can do so from August 20 to August 24, 2025. All other terms, including age and qualification cut-offs, remain based on the original closing date of July 28, 2025.

RRB Technician 02/2025 Exam Date OUT
The Computer Based Test (CBT) for RRB Technician Grade I & II is scheduled from 05 March 2026 to 06 March 2026. Eligibility Criteria for RRB Technician 2025
Educational Qualification
- Technician Gr. I Signal: Diploma or B.Sc in relevant engineering stream (refer to Annexure A of the detailed notification).
- Technician Gr. III: Matriculation/SSLC with ITI in relevant trades.
Age Limit (as on 01.07.2025)
- Technician Gr. I Signal: 18 to 33 years
- Technician Gr. III: 18 to 30 years
- Age relaxations applicable for SC/ST/OBC/Ex-Servicemen/PwBD candidates as per rules.
Medical Standards
- Technician Gr. I Signal: B-1
- Technician Gr. III: As per post-specific medical standard (see Annexure A)
Application Process & Aadhaar Verification
Candidates are strongly advised to register using Aadhaar. Inaccurate details regarding Aadhaar, Name, Date of Birth, and biometric mismatch may lead to rejection. The Aadhaar must be updated with full name, DOB as per 10th mark sheet, and latest biometrics.

RRB Technician 2025 Selection Process
The recruitment process for RRB Technician posts will be conducted in three main stages:
1. Computer-Based Test (CBT)
Candidates will first appear for an online CBT. Separate CBTs will be conducted for Pay Level 5 and Pay Level 2 posts. The marks scored in this test will be used for shortlisting candidates for the next stages.
2. Document Verification (DV)
Candidates who qualify the CBT will be called for Document Verification based on their merit. If two or more candidates have the same marks, preference will be given to the older candidate.
3. Medical Examination (ME)
After successful document verification, candidates will have to undergo a medical fitness test conducted by the Railway Administration. Final appointment will be subject to medical fitness and document verification.

As per the official notification, the upper age limit for Technician Grade III posts is 30 years, while for Technician Grade I Signal, it is 33 years (as on 01-07-2025). The online application system is showing 30 years because you are likely applying for Grade III, not Grade I Signal.
