CSIR-NIO Kochi Apprenticeship Apply Process 2026

The application process is through a Walk-in Interview. However, mandatory prior registration on the NATS portal is required. Candidates must follow these steps:

Step 1: NATS Portal Registration

  1. Visit the NATS portal: https://nats.education.gov.in/
  2. Click on ‘Student – Student Register’.
  3. Complete the application form to generate a Unique Student Enrolment ID.

Step 2: Prepare for Walk-in Interview

  1. Download and fill the application form available at the end of the official notification or from www.nio.res.in.
  2. Attach one passport-size photograph.
  3. Gather all original documents and one set of self-attested photocopies.

C. Age Relaxation:

  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC (NCL): 3 years
  • PwBD: 10 years (General), 13 years (OBC), 15 years (SC/ST)

Other Eligibility:

  • Must be registered on the NATS portal.
  • Should not have undergone or be undergoing apprenticeship training elsewhere.
  • Should not have one year or more of work experience.

CSIR-NIO Kochi Apprenticeship Selection Process 2026

Selection will be based on a Walk-in Interview and Document Verification. If a large number of candidates appear, the selection committee may shortlist candidates proportionally to the vacancies.

National Institute of Oceanography Kochi Apprenticeship Stipend 2026

  • Technician (Diploma) Apprentice: ₹ 8,000 per month
  • Graduate (Non-Engineering) Apprentice: ₹ 9,000 per month
