Eligibility Criteria for JN Tata Endowment Scholarship 2026

Candidates must carefully review the following eligibility conditions before applying:

Nationality & Age: Must be an Indian citizen and not older than 45 years as of June 30, 2026.

Academic Background: Must be a graduate of a recognized Indian university with a minimum of 60% marks on average in undergraduate or postgraduate studies.

Course Eligibility: The overseas course must be a recognized Graduate Program (postgraduate in Indian terminology). Undergraduate studies, distance learning, online degrees, diplomas, and exchange programs are not eligible.

Admission Status: Candidates may apply even without a confirmed admission offer for 2026-27 but must update the Endowment immediately upon receiving one.

Scholarship Benefits and Selection Process

Selected scholars will receive a loan scholarship of up to ₹20 Lakhs to support their postgraduate education abroad. The selection is a rigorous, multi-phase process:

Phase 1 – Application Submission (Deadline: March 15, 2026)
Candidates must submit an online application along with initial documents, including a photo, academic transcripts, SOP, and passport copy.

Phase 2 – Aptitude Test
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to take an aptitude test. No documents are required at this stage.

Phase 3 – Interview with Subject Expert
Candidates who clear the test will be interviewed. They must present key documents, including:
