- Scientist ‘B’: B.E./B.Tech (1st class) in ECE/CS/IT or MCA/M.Sc (1st class) or M.Tech/Ph.D in relevant disciplines
- MTSS ES-V: 3-year Diploma in Electronics/CS/IT or B.E./B.Tech or DOEACC ‘A’ level with 2 years experience
- MTSS ES-IV: 3-year Diploma in Electronics/CS/IT or B.E./B.Tech or DOEACC ‘A’ level with 1 year experience
- MTSS ES-III: 3-year Diploma in Electronics/CS/IT or B.E./B.Tech or DOEACC ‘A’ level
