Procedure for calculation of ‘Best Four’ subjects percentage for Honours Programmes:

  • The merit shall be determined on the basis of one language and three best academic/elective subjects from LIST A.
  • Out of three, the academic/elective subject chosen above, one must be the concerned subject in which the admission is sought, failing which a deduction of 2.5% will be imposed on the calculated ‘Best Four’ percentage.

Note:

  • If an applicant doesn’t include the subjects given in LIST A in ‘Best Four’, then a deduction of 2.5% of maximum marks will be levied for each subject for the purpose of calculating ‘Best Four’.
  • All subjects to be included in the calculation of ‘Best Four’ must have at least a 70% theory component of the exam. In case, the subject to be considered does not have a 70% theory component and 30% practical component, then the marks of theory and practical only shall be converted to 70% and 30%, respectively on a pro-rata basis. These new marks will then be considered for the calculation of ‘Best Four’.

Basis of calculation of Best Four

  • In case an applicant has studied elective and core languages, the core language subject will be treated as language, while elective language can be considered as an academic/ elective subject.
  • The applicants must have studied and passed Mathematics at all qualifying exams for admission to B.A. (Honours) in Economics.
  • University may define any other relevant subjects as an academic/ elective for a particular Honours program.

Procedure for calculation of ‘Best Four’ subjects percentage for Honours Programmes:

One Language from Part 1 of List C1 + three best subjects out of Part 2 of List C1.

OR

One Language from Part 1 of List C1 + any combination of subjects out of Part 2 of List C1, List C2, or any other subject (not listed either in List C1 or List C2). In such a case, the deduction of marks from the aggregate percentage of ‘Best Four’ shall be as follows:

  • For every subject included from List C2, a deduction of one percent in the aggregate percentage of ‘Best Four’;
  • For every other subject (not listed either in List C1 or List C2), a deduction of 2.5% per subject in the aggregate percentage of ‘Best Four’

Note:

  • All subjects to be included in the calculation of ‘Best Four’ must have at least 70% theory components of the examination. In case the subject to be considered does not have at least 70% theory component, then the marks obtained in theory and practical shall be converted to 70% and 30% respectively, on a pro-rata basis. The marks so arrived at will then be considered for calculation of ‘Best Four’.
  • The applicant must have studied and passed Mathematics/Business Mathematics at the qualifying examination for admission to B. Com. (Hons.).
  • The computation of ‘best four’ subjects in the above framework should lead to an effective and unique ‘best four’ which would be higher than any other combination of ‘best four’ subjects.

Best 4 Percentage Calculator

  • The reservation for wards of Kashmiri Migrants is 5% of total sanctioned seats for B.Com (Hons.) and B.A. (Hons.) Economics is separately subject to 10% concessions in the cut-offs of the general category in each case.
  • Benefits of reservation for candidates from reserve categories (SCs/STs/OBCs/PwD/Kashmiri Migrants and others) will be available only after production of the original copy of relevant certificates which should be available in the name of candidates at the time of admission.
  • All those candidates under the categories of Armed Forces/ Sikkimese/Kashmiri Migrants/PwD if want to be considered in any other category such as SCs, STs, or OBCs then they must have registered their names separately in the respective category.
  • Candidates seeking admission in B.Com (Hons.) and B.A. (Hons.) Economics under the Armed Forces, Nepalese, Bhutanese, Sikkimese, Kashmiri Migrants, Sports, and Foreign categories must have registered online with the University of Delhi in their respective categories. Their admission to the College will be based on the norms of the University of Delhi.
  • For admission under the sports category, the candidates must fill a separate sports admission form after having been selected under the sports quota in the College. The admission under the sports quota will be governed by the admission criteria of the University of Delhi.
  • No student will be allowed to take admission in two courses/Colleges simultaneously. In case, they are found to be admitted in two courses/Colleges simultaneously, the admission in all courses/Colleges will be canceled.
  • All the original certificates of the candidates seeking admission in the College need to be submitted in original with the College which will be returned after expert and legal verification.
  • In case of cancellation of admission of any candidate in any course in the College students will be promptly returned their certificates to facilitate their migration to other Colleges and courses. After the cancellation of the admission, the students will be refunded the fee by the College.
  • Certificate of physical disability issued by Chief Medical Officer/Civil Surgeon of the district or any government hospital authorized to give such certificate under the provision of the PWD Act 1995 will be considered for admission.   • Candidates who have missed the admission deadline of their cut-offs will be given the chance of admission only on the last day of the admission schedule of the subsequent cut-offs provided seats are left unfilled. Reservation for PWD candidates is 5% of total sanctioned seats for B.Com (Hons.) and B.A. (Hons.) Economics separately.

For Gap Year Students: Gap Year(s) will be no bar for the purpose of admission to the undergraduate courses in the College as per the policy of the University of Delhi.

Reservation of Seats:

a) 22.5% seats are reserved for SC/ST candidates (SC 15 % and ST 7.5 %, interchangeable, if necessary);

b) 5% seats are reserved for the Children/Widows of armed personnel killed/disabled in action during the hostilities (CW) (Supernumerary Seats);

c) 27% seats are reserved for OBC candidates (Non-Creamy layer, Central List);

d) 5% seats are reserved for the Persons with Disabilities (PWD) candidates (Supernumerary Seats).

Note:

(1) The University Examination Fee will be deposited in the College by the students separately as per the University Schedule and Guidelines.
(2) No refund of fees shall be made, except what and where the University rules permit after a candidate has been given Provisional Admission.

(3) The selected students of all the categories for admission in the College are supposed to make payment of College fees of Rs. 15000 through the website of the University of Delhi before 12:00 noon on the next day of the given admission list deadline.

(4)The annual fee to be payable by foreign students is Rs.6900.00 (Tentative) in addition to the above fee structure.

How to Apply for Shri Ram College of Commerce Admission ∣ Cut Off List 2021

  • The application will not be considered without payment of Application charges of registration will be Rs. 5,00/per(tentative amount) for Unreserved/OBC and Rs. 250l- for SC/ST/PWD submission only for each subject (Hons) and General Course within the stipulated deadline.
  • Application for admission to Semester-wise Three years in Honours and general courses will start from May Last week,2021(tentative).
  • Only regular candidates of 2021/2022 are eligible to apply for Honours Courses.
  • However, regular candidates of 2017 are also eligible to apply for General Courses if they did not appear in any college last year.
  • Before filling up the form an applicant must follow the eligibility criteria carefully.
  • Register to the site first and you will get a Login ID and Password.
  • Login to the site with the provided Login ID and Password.
  • An SMS will be sent to each applicant after the successful submission of the application form with the requisite fee(s).
  • Apply for a course with your required stream and subject.
  • Candidates are requested to look very carefully at the field ‘Year of Passing’ while filling up the application form.
  • After filling the Application Form, the applicant will be directed to the payment procedure of the application fee. Application Fee may be paid either online or Net Banking, Cards.
  • Pay Online or take the printout of challan.
  • Review your data and confirm the submission.
  • Applications are liable to be canceled at any stage (even after publication of merit list).
  • The Application fee will not be refunded under any circumstances.
  • The applicant has to fill up carefully his/her ‘NAME’, ‘APPLICATION NO’, ‘MOBILE NO’, ‘DATE OF BIRTH’. The college will not take any responsibility for mistakes in personal data input. Enter the text as shown in the image. The applicant may reset the data if required. Click ‘Submit’ to proceed. The applicant will be asked for confirmation of the personal data. Click ‘Confirm’ if the data are correct. ‘Cancel’ otherwise and follow the steps again.
  • An application will become valid within 48 hours of depositing the application fee. An applicant can check the status of the validity of the application at the college website. In case an applicant finds the status invalid even after 48 hours of depositing the fee, he/she must report the college office with the transaction id (for online payment) or, original payment receipt (for offline payment) immediately.
  • The applicant is now directed to Multi Option Payment System. For online payment, the applicant can choose either Net Banking or Card payment option. Note the transaction id for future reference.

Shri Ram College of Commerce Admission ∣ Cut Off List 2021 Required Document

The original Certificates and two sets of self-attested photocopies of the following documents have to be submitted at the time of admission:

1. Printout of Admission Form of the University of Delhi submitted online.

2. Class 10th Board Examination Certificate as evidence of the date of birth.

3. Class 10th Marks-sheet.

4. Class 12th Marks-sheet.

5. Class 12th Provisional/Original Certificate.

6. Character Certificate (recent) from the institution last attended.

7. SC/ST/PWD/CW/KM Certificate (in the name of the candidate) issued by the competent authority.

8. OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Certificate (in the name of the candidate) as in Central List.

9. Transfer Certificate from the School/College as well as Migration Certificate from Board/University is required from those students who have passed Senior Secondary Examination from outside Delhi.

10. Five passport size self-attested photographs. The University will accept self-attested copies of documents/papers provided by the students. It is made clear that if any false attestation/ falsified records are detected, the students will be debarred from attending any course in the University or its college(s) for the next five years and in addition, a criminal case under the relevant section of IPC (viz. 470,471,474, etc.) will be instituted against her.
