RRCAT Recruitment 2024 – Apply for 120 Trade Apprentice Posts

The Raja Ramanna Centre for Advanced Technology (RRCAT) in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, is looking for 120 Trade Apprentices. This program follows the Apprentices Act of 1961 and the Apprenticeship Rules of 1992. The apprenticeship will start on January 9, 2025, and will last for one year. You can apply online from September 6, 2024, until September 30, 2024, at 3 PM on the RRCAT Apprenticeship Portal.

There are reserved spots for Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC) based on the rules. RRCAT Trade Apprentices Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

Candidates must have completed their ITI (Industrial Training Institute) training in any designated trade after the year 2016.
They must have also passed the 10th class with a minimum of 40% aggregate marks.

Age Limit:

Candidates must be between 18 to 24 years old as of the apprenticeship start date (January 9, 2025).
This means eligible candidates should have been born between January 9, 2001, and January 9, 2007.

Reservations

  • Scheduled Castes (SC): 18 positions reserved
  • Scheduled Tribes (ST): 24 positions reserved
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL): 18 positions reserved

Filling Shortfalls:

  • If there are not enough candidates from SC or ST categories to fill their reserved positions, the vacancies can be filled by candidates from the other category (SC/ST).
  • Similarly, if OBC candidates are insufficient, other candidates may fill those spots.

Stipend

Each selected apprentice will receive a stipend of ₹ 11,600.

Selection Procedure

Merit List Preparation:

  • The merit list will be created based on two components:
  • One-third of the percentage of marks in ITI
  • Two-thirds of the percentage of marks in the 10th class
  • The combined score will be rounded to two decimal places.
  • In case of a tie, candidates with higher 10th class marks will be ranked higher.
  • Merit List Release Date: The merit list will be published on October 14, 2024.

Confirmation of Willingness:

  • Candidates listed in the merit list must confirm their willingness to join the apprenticeship by October 19, 2024, via a link sent to their email.

Document Verification

Slots for Verification:

  • First Slot: December 2-7, 2024 (6 days)
  • Second Slot: January 6-8, 2025 (3 days).

Joining the Apprenticeship

  • Medical Examination: Candidates must pass a medical examination conducted by RRCAT before joining.

Important Notes

Accommodation:

  • Hostel facilities are available for ₹ 500 per month (electricity charges extra).
  • Transport: Candidates are responsible for their own transport arrangements.

Conduct:

Candidates must adhere to RRCAT’s rules. Misconduct may lead to termination from the apprenticeship.
Completion Certificate: Upon successful completion, apprentices will receive a National Apprenticeship Certificate.

General Instructions

  • Communication: No correspondence will be entertained regarding the recruitment process.
  • Canvassing: Any form of canvassing will lead to disqualification.
  • Travel Allowance: No travel allowance will be provided for document verification or apprenticeship commencement.
  • Medical Examination: RRCAT will conduct its own medical examination, which all selected candidates must agree to.

Register on NAPS Portal

  • Go to the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) portal: apprenticeshipindia.gov.in.
  • Fill in your personal details like your name, gender, and email address.
  • Make sure to enter a valid and active email address. You will receive important information there.

Apply on RRCAT Portal

  • After registering on NAPS, go to the RRCAT Apprenticeship Portal to apply.
  • Read all instructions carefully before filling out your application.

Filling Out the Application

Before You Start:

You can edit your details and preview your application before final submission.

Login Information:

You will need to enter your email and password to complete the submission.

Document Requirements:

Final Submission
