Educational Qualification & Experience
Essential:
- Pass in 10th Standard from a recognized board.
- Possession of a valid Driving License for Motor Car.
- Experience of driving motor car for at least three years.
Desirable: Three years service as Home Guard or Civil Volunteers.
Age Limit
Age Range: 18 to 25 years as on 26th February 2026.
Age Relaxation:
- Ex-servicemen: As per Government rules.
- Central Government employees: Up to 40 years with 3 years regular service.

NIELIT Delhi Driver Selection Process 2026
The selection will be based on the following stages:
Written Examination (Objective Type):
- 120 questions, 120 marks, 2 hours duration.
- Subjects: General Awareness, General Intelligence & Elementary Maths, General English/Hindi, Traffic Rules & Driving Techniques.
- No negative marking.
- Qualifying marks: 25% for General/EWS.
Skill Test (Qualifying):
- Driving skill assessment, knowledge of motor mechanics, traffic rules, and minor defect identification.
- Conducted only at Delhi.
Final Merit: Based on marks secured in the Written Examination only.
