IndiaAI, an Independent Business Division under the Digital India Corporation (MeitY), is inviting applications for the IndiaAI Innovation Challenge 2026. IndiaAI Innovation Challenge 2026 Eligibility Criteria

  • Indian Company: Registered under the Companies Act with at least 51% Indian shareholding.
  • Start-up: Recognized by DPIIT as per the latest Startup India notification.
  • Autonomous Bodies: Public sector organisations, non-profits, research institutions, universities.
  • Individuals/Teams: Indian students, researchers, or professionals (must be Indian citizens).

Note: Teams not registered as a company/start-up can apply initially but must register if selected for Stage 2.

  5. Final Evaluation & Winner Selection: Based on pilot performance, security audits, and final presentations.

FAQs

Who owns the Intellectual Property (IP) of the submitted solution?
All IP rights remain with the solution owner. IndiaAI and partner ministries receive a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use the awarded solution.

What is the total duration of the engagement for the winner?
The winning team will receive a work contract for a period of two years for integration, deployment, operation, and maintenance.

Can individuals or student teams apply?
Yes, Indian students, researchers, and professionals can apply as individuals or teams. However, if selected for Stage 2, they must register as a Company or Start-up.
