IGCAR Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: To apply for the various apprentice posts, candidates must have completed specific ITI (Industrial Training Institute) courses relevant to the position. For example, applicants for the Fitter role need an ITI in Fitter, while those applying for the Turner position should have an ITI in Turner. Other positions require different ITI qualifications, such as ITI in Electrician or Wireman for the Electrician post, ITI in Mechanical Machine Tool Maintenance for the Mechanical Machine Tool Maintenance role, and so on. Each job role has a specific ITI qualification listed, so make sure to check the exact requirement for the position you are interested in.
Age Limit: As of October 13, 2024, candidates must be at least 18 years old and not older than 24 years. This age limit ensures that applicants are within the age range suitable for apprenticeship training.
Age Relaxation: There are specific age relaxations for different categories of candidates. SC/ST candidates can avail a relaxation of 5 years. OBC candidates get a 3-year relaxation. PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities) candidates have varying relaxations: 10 years for General/EWS categories, 15 years for SC/ST categories, and 13 years for OBC categories.
Application Fee
There is no application fee required for candidates from any category, including General, OBC, EWS, SC, and ST. This means all eligible candidates can apply without any cost.
