Gurugram District Court Eligibility Criteria 2026

Candidates must fulfill the following conditions to apply:

Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age: 42 years (as on 01.01.2026)
  • Age relaxation for SC/OBC/Reserved Categories as per Haryana Government rules.

Educational Qualification

Gurugram District Court Selection Process 2026

The selection process differs for each post:

For Stenographer Grade-III:

  1. Qualifying English Shorthand Test at 80 w.p.m.
  2. Transcription on computer at 20 w.p.m.
  3. Qualifying Computer Proficiency Test (Word Processing & Spreadsheet).

For Clerk:

  1. Written Examination (English Composition + General Knowledge, 50 marks each).
  2. Minimum 40% aggregate (33% in each subject) required to qualify.
  3. Qualifying Computer Typing Test in English at 30 w.p.m.
  4. Computer Proficiency Test (qualifying only).

Computer tests are qualifying in nature and marks will not be counted for final merit.

Gurugram District Court Stenographer and Clerk Salary

Selected candidates will be appointed on an ad-hoc basis for six months or till regular appointments are made. They will receive a consolidated pay of ₹25,500 per month. Allowances and other benefits will be as per the rules of the Haryana Subordinate Courts Establishment.
