Government makes Aadhaar mandatory for MGNREGA works

MGNREGA in prominently known as the Work for 100 Days. It means Government provides the assistancy for securing the 100 Working days in a year. Only te rural citizen providing the valid job card will be able to get jod under this scheme. Till now the Aadhaar Card was not mandatory exercise for them. But now the Government makes it mandatory exercise for MGNREGA Work. Government also provide the last date of the enlisting  process, that is 31 March 2017.

With this Enforcement Toolkit the state police will be able to solve the disputes regarding Trademarks and copyrights.

» On 04th January, 2017 the Union Government launches the Swachh Bharat Survekshan 2017 mission for 500 cities or towns to allot them ranking across the country in the matter of cleanliness. The mission was administered by the Union Ministry of Urban Development. Swachh Bharat Survekshan 2017 is noting but a wing of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. In this mission the total survey will be conducted by an expert team. This team named as Quality Control of India (QCI). The main objective of the mission is to promote the competition level to uplift sanitation system.

BCCI President Anurag Thakur and Secretary Ajay Shirke has been sacked by Supreme Court

Justice Lodha Committee recommended some reforms to minimize the corruption prevailing in the Board of Cricket Control of India (BCCI) operations. But the present President of BCCI Mr. Anurag Thakur and its Secretary Ajay Shirke are not able to implement the sugession prescribed by the Justice Lodha Committee. In this issues the Supreme Court of India has been sacked these two officials from their office.

About Justice Lodha Committee: In January, 2015 the Supreme Court constructed a panel chaired by Ex- Chief Justice of India R.M. Lodha. The aim of the Committee was to fix the punishments for those names come out from the Mukul Mudgal Committee. Now in this occasion I want to conversant you with the Mukul Mudgal Committee. Mukul Mudgal Commitee was formed to settle the irregularities found in IPL matches.

Objectives of the Lodha Committee: Reforms of BCCI, both in its structure and processes to eliminate errors & frauds.

An Mobile App launches for Haj Pilgrimage by Union Government

Taking in mind the “Digital India” mission the Union Government recently has introduced an Mobile App for the Haj Pilgrimage. Through the App the pilgrimage obtained information and can avail the e-payment facilities. This App brings the digitalization motive in Haj application process for the first time in India.

» The app is available in the Google Play Store. The user made direct application through this app. After formation a group the user may apply for Haj Application through this app. One group may consists five adults and two infants.

» By using this app user get all information regarding Haj Application, updated news and e-payment facilities.

» When registration get completed the application form will be forwarded to the registered e-Mail address in PDF Form. Duly filled application form should be send to the State Haj Committee.


 New Chief Justice of India: Justice Jagdish Singh Khehar

Justice Jagdish Singh Khehar has been appointed as Chief Justice of India by the Pranab Mukherjee, President of India. Former Chief Justice Tirath Singh Thakur retired on 3 January, 2017. Justice J S Khehar appointed as 44th Chief Justice of India (CJI). The first Chief Justice of India belongs to the Sikh Community. The new Chief Justice hold the office upto August 4,2017. On 4th August he will attains the age of 65.

» Punjab University awarded him the LL.B and LL.M Degree in the year of 1977 and 1979 respectively.

» In the year of 1979 he enrolled himself as an Advocate of Punjab Haryana High Court in Chandigarh and started the practicing.

» In February, 1995 he was promoted himself to the Senior Advocate level.

» In the year of 2009 he became the the Chief Justice of Uttarakhand High court. Subsequently in the year 2010 he was transferred to the High court of Karnataka as chief Justice.

» In September, 2011 he was promoted as Judge of Supreme Court. On August, 2017 he retired from the Supreme Court.

» 99th Amendment to the Constitution was made in his tenure of Judgeship in the Supreme Court. He was the one of the member of the Constitutional bench consists with five judges.


Namami Ganga Projects for Haridwar and Varanasi – Government of India Initiative

Namami Ganga Projects in an initiative by the Government of India under The National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) for Haridwar (Uttarakhand) and Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh). This programme was taken by the Government to make Ganga garbage free.
In Haridwar Central Government installed 68 MLD Sewage Treatment Plant (STP). In Varanasi another 50 MLD Sewage Treatment Plant installed. The projects constructed through Public Private Partneship (PPP) Model.

In the year of 2016 two Hindi writers of Indian has been nominated for Bharatiya Janapith Navlekhan Award. One of them Shraddha for her short story “Hawa Mein Phadphadati Chitthi” and another Ghyansham Kumar Devansh for his poem “Akash Mein Deh“. They both are very new faces in the Indian literature. Famous poet Vishnu Nagar, chaired in the selection committee meeting. The two faces just only outcome of this committee.

New Air Force Chief: Air Chief Marshal Birender Singh Dhanoa

Former Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha retired from his service. In due respect in this occassion Birender Singh Dhanoa took over the charge as 22nd Chief of the Air Staff. After Arjan Singh and Dilbag Singh he is the third person to become the Air Chief Marshal.

New Chief of Army Staff: General Bipin Rawat

New Chairman of UPSC (Union Public Service Commission): David R Syiemlieh

As per Article 316 of our Constitution, President Pranab Mukherjee appointed Mr. David R Syiemlieh as new Chairman of UPSC. Former Chairman Alka Sirohi retired from his service life. Mr. David R Syiemlieh shall be remain the head of the organization untill his retirement on January 21, 2018.

RBI appoints Surekha Marandi as Executive Director

Former Executive Director U S Paliwal retired on December 31, 2016. In that reason Surekha Marandi took over the charge as Executive Director of Reserve Bank of India. She will be responsible to look after the Protection Department, Financial Inclusion and Development Department and Secretary’s Department of the RBI.
